Tri-Star Packaging’s multiple award-winning product range for foodservice operators and contract caterers looks set to hog the limelight at ScotHot 2015, which takes place on 4-5 March 2015 at the SECC in Glasgow.
Exhibiting on Stand 4459, Tri-Star will showcase its stunning new Tri-Pot™ deli pot, which boasts a stylish, super-clear and ‘curvy’ design. Suitable for a range of products such as pasta salads, couscous, olives, yoghurt & granola, Bircher muesli and chopped fruit, it is sturdy and versatile and offers fantastic clarity and presentation to encourage impulse purchases. The exceptional qualities of the Tri-Pot™ were recognised recently at the prestigious Café Life Awards, where it won the New Café Product Award (Packaging). The following day it went on to be highly commended in the Innovation Challenge at the lunch! trade show in London.
Visitors to ScotHot 2015 will also have the opportunity to view Tri-Star’s game-changing Tri-Label Online cloud-based labelling software solution. Tri-Label Online, which offers food-to-go businesses an easy way to create and produce great-looking FIR-compliant labels from any PC and printer, won no fewer than four major awards in 2014. At lunch! the concept won an Innovation Challenge Gold Cup Award, while just a day earlier it had been highly commended in the Café Life Awards. Earlier in the year, it was named winner of the New Sandwich Product Award at the Sammies, having already been named Product Launch of the Year (Packaging & Disposables) at the Essential Café Trade Awards.
ScotHot 2015 will also see Tri-Label introduce another innovative labelling concept – the Allergen Food Rotation Label. This offers a simple and affordable way for caterers to ensure their staff are aware of any allergenic ingredients that may be present in the food they sell. Since 13 December 2014, food-to-go operators have been legally obliged to identify clearly products that could contain allergens. The Allergen Food Rotation Label is an off-the-shelf solution to allergen tracking, as well as food rotation, in one easy-to-use label. Freezer-safe and featuring a protective UV gloss to repel moisture, food and liquids, the label features a tick box for each of the 14 allergens covered by the regulation, as well as ample space to include detailed use-by information.
Tri-Star will also showcase its new Taste range of high-performance paperboard takeaway packaging for hot and chilled foods, with tailored options for pizzas, hot sandwiches & wraps, and a range of popular meals including pasta, noodles, jacket potatoes, hot chicken, salads and sushi. Completely leak-proof, and insulated to keep food warmer for longer – but cool to the touch for the customer – Taste offers a superb all-in-one takeaway solution for food-to-go businesses of all sizes.
Kevin Curran, managing director of Tri-Star Packaging, said: “Our mission is to make life easier and more profitable for food-to-go businesses and each and every innovation we bring to the market must tick both of these boxes. All of the concepts we’ve chosen to bring with us to ScotHot 2015 meet these criteria with room to spare. The Scottish food-to-go market is immensely important for Tri-Star and this show gives us the perfect opportunity to meet with our friends from north of the border and discuss how our products and services can enhance their businesses and boost their bottom lines.”
