Tri-Star secures distribution rights for Stak-Cup drinks carrying system
Tri-Star Packaging has been appointed UK distributor for a revolutionary new drinks carrying system called ‘Stak-Cup’. Targeted at the leisure market – and in particular sports stadiums, theme parks and music festivals – Stak-Cup is an innovative cup stacking system which enables people to carry a whole round of drinks in just one hand. Originally developed in South Africa, and used extensively at this summer’s World Cup, Stak-Cup features a unique interlocking handle allowing several cups to be placed on top of each other. This makes it possible for one person to carry any number of drinks comfortably in one hand, leaving the other free to hold something else, such as food, money or even more drinks. As well as enhancing the overall purchasing experience for consumers, Stak-Cup offers many advantages to event managers. Available in pint and 500ml sizes, Stak-Cups are made from a durable food-grade polypropylene that is re-usable, dishwasher-safe and recyclable. The Stak-Cup system speeds up service significantly by eliminating the need for trays, or for customers to make several trips to the bar to collect a round of drinks, resulting in shorter queues and happier customers. Stak-Cup is so easy to carry that there are fewer spills to clean up. In addition, the cups can be printed on using two different techniques – heat or pad transfer. Printed cups, which can be produced in both small and large quantities, can be sold to consumers as brand souvenirs, creating a potential new revenue stream for event organisers and site managers.
