TRI-STAR PACKAGING PLANS PORTABRANDS PUSH
Tri-Star Packaging is to showcase the innovative PortaBrands range of portable food and drink packaging for the first time at the forthcoming ScotHot exhibition in Glasgow (28 February–2 March 2011. Stand 4830). Acquired by Tri-Star in September 2010, the PortaBrands range incorporates a wide selection of on-the-move food and drink packaging solutions, which have revolutionised the way in which people transport food and drink in a variety of environments, especially in the coffee-to-go market. PortaBrands products are particularly popular in the events management sector, where unique and pioneering drinks carriers such as the PortaDrink® have transformed the experiences of millions of visitors to high profile sports and music events. In Scotland, PortaBrands products can be found in use at such iconic venues as Murrayfield and Hampden Park. Visitors to ScotHot will also have the opportunity to see Tri-Star’s new food-to-go packaging solutions, including the recently launched Hybrid environmentally friendly multi-functional salad tray. Contemporary in design, and perfect for meals based on green salads, pasta, rice, beans, noodles and sushi, the Hybrid comprises an authentic plain brown cardboard tray, with a sleek black interior, and a high-clarity anti-fogging lid made from recycled PET (rPET). The Hybrid’s lid is separate from the tray, which means the pack is easy for staff to fill. In addition, this means the lid does not flip forward when the consumer eats from the tray, ensuring it will be a popular choice with customers dining on the move. Also making an appearance at ScotHot will be Tri-Star’s stylish new domed sandwich pack. Made entirely from rPET, the premium-quality pack offers retailers and cafés the opportunity to present quarter-cut sandwiches in the most eye-catching way possible.
